We came to Utah preparing for the hardest moment of our lives.
We didn’t expect an entire community to carry us through it. 💛
Kaida update:
Utah… we don’t even know how to say thank you.
In the middle of everything, you showed up for us.
The Ronald McDonald house blessed us with tickets to Game 3 so we could see our @GoldenKnights for the first time in person! The @deltacenter was rocking and the atmosphere was insane!
@fox13 shared our story and helped connect us with so many of you.
Tony and Melanie Castillo stepped in and made sure we were able to get to Game 4.
And to the Mammoth fans—you have rallied around our family in a way we will never forget.
Kaida is still in the NICU (28 days old and absolutely incredible).
We are taking things one day at a time and learning in real time what this journey looks like.
Some moments are heavy, and some are full of hope.
But she keeps fighting, and she is strong.
On May 4th, Kaida will have surgery to place a G-tube.
It is a big step in her care.
It is also part of our plan to bring her home.
So many of you have asked how to help.

@greenhalgh333 @CriddleBenjamin I’ve been a season ticket holder for around 20 yrs. Was never a CC member until the last 3 yrs. I was able to buy up to 12 tickets each year until this year. I had to upgrade my CC level to silver ($750) to be able to get the 8 that I need.

#BREAKING #UPDATE: Wayne County Triple Homicide – Suspect Charged + Full Confession Details Ivan Miller, 22, Blakesburg, Iowa — charged with 3 counts of aggravated murder (1st-degree felonies) in the random killings of three women in Wayne County on Wednesday. Per court docs/probable cause: • Killed an elderly woman (80s) in her Lyman home first: Entered, waited behind door, shot her in back of head with .45 (Rock Island 1911) while she watched TV. Cleaned scene, dragged body to shed/basement using wheelbarrow. Stole her Buick. • Drove Buick to Cocks Comb Trailhead off SR-12 near Torrey. Spotted two women (30s & 60s) getting out of white Subaru. Approached & shot: younger one in chest, older one multiple times in body + stabbed her multiple times in heart after she kept moving. • Dragged both victims to a ditch/creek bed. Left .45 casings + one 20-gauge shotgun shell at scene (blood trails, drag marks, tracks noted by ranger). • Took Subaru, fled through southern UT → northern AZ → CO. Tracked via victim’s key fob app (Subaru owners used it to ping location). • Abandoned Subaru in Pagosa Springs, CO. Arrested ~2:45 a.m. Thursday by Pagosa PD after short foot pursuit. Booked initially on concealed weapon (gun + large knife). Interview linked him directly. Miller confessed: Needed money/vehicle to get back to Iowa. “It had to be done” but “did not like to do it.” Pulled out the knife he used during interview when asked. No prior connection to victims/area — random carjack-style killings per UT DPS. No ongoing threat. He’s held in Archuleta County awaiting extradition to Utah. BYU’s issues aren’t about AJ or youth. They’re self-inflicted. System + philosophy + identity.
1. The offense is too ISO-heavy
Too much 1-on-1. Not enough advantage creation.
Ball sticks → everyone else disengages → rhythm dies → effort drops on the other end.
2. NBA-style foul hunting doesn’t work in the Big 12
ISO drives hunting whistles turn into live-ball turnovers when calls don’t come. That’s instant transition points against a defense already struggling.
3. Roles are unclear outside the stars
When guys don’t know where their shots or touches come from, they stop cutting, screening, and defending with purpose.
4. Defense suffers downstream
Hard to guard at a high level when you haven’t touched the ball in 4 possessions. Energy, communication, buy-in all slip.
5. This actually caps AJ
He’s good enough to score anyway.
The miss is not using him to bend the defense for others through movement, swinging, and re-attack.
Bottom line:
This roster is better than it’s showing. Fix the structure. Simplify reads. Increase movement.
The talent will look very different…fast.

I made $3.65/hour at Media Play in Orem in 1994, below the federal minimum. There was some law that you could pay full time students less than minimum wage. I still remember how happy I was to get a raise to $3.70.
