Kiley resigned as a member of the House Republican Conference. He subsequently lost his committee assignments due to House rules which say that membership on committees "shall be contingent on continuing membership in the party caucus or conference that nominated the Member."

Last night @RepTonyGonzales said attention on his admitted affair was a "coordinated attack towards me" to get him to "not vote for the DHS package tomorrow, or to help President Trump agenda." Today, he did not show up to vote, including on DHS funding.
