Jurgen Klopp offers one tip to Liverpool in regards post Salah era: “This specific kind of player is irreplaceable. There will be a void that somebody will fill. But the specific player, Mo Salah? I’m not sure there is even another one existing out there. “So, if it is impossible, why should you try? I’m not in the role to advise anyone. But just bring players in and play the kind of football which can be successful! “That is pretty much everything. We lost Sadio Mané. We could sing a song about him. What a player he was! Bobby Firmino - oh my god. On the day Gini went, probably none of you thought, ‘that was a big miss’ until he was not there anymore and then you thought: ‘Oh!’ He was the combination of technique, power, tactical discipline. “Then Hendo left. Some thought: ‘Good! It’s time!’ Milly went. That’s just how it is. But other players came in: Macca [Alexis Mac Allister], Ryan [Gravenberch], Dom [Szoboszlai]. That’s how it is. “Don’t try to chase the shadows. Find a new way and play!” [@_pauljoyce]

Jurgen Klopp on Salah: “Great team-mate, great guy — not great company when he’s not scoring,” he added. “We criticise him for being selfish but then celebrate when he scores a goal after beating five men. “We both knew that we had arguments — not big, big arguments. Like the one at West Ham. Both of us, five seconds later, would have thought: ‘No, we don’t do that in public, come on, rewind.’ “We never lost respect for each other and that is what I really like. He didn’t like me for a second when I took him off after 87 minutes and all these kind of things, and you think: ‘Why?’ “The time with him and Sadio together, they were a challenge, of course they were. Special players are a challenge. The real difference makers. Tell me one who is not? The one who wasn’t, by the way, was Bobby Firmino. “Rotating Mo was difficult. I’d be: ‘You cannot play three games a week.’ And Mo would be: ‘Yeah, I can.’ “ ‘Ok then, you can, but all the others can’t.’ “You always walk on the edge in these moments.”

[🟢] NEW: Fenway Sports Group remain supportive of Arne Slot, despite the growing external pressure. There is sympathy for what he's had to handle, from the disrupted pre-season to the spate of injuries and new players needing time to settle. However, it remains to be seen whether that resolve is tested between now and the end of the season if more setbacks follow and unrest among the fanbase continues to grow. [@TheAthleticFC]

Newcastle United official has communicated to media tonight that there is no gentleman’s agreement Sandro Tonali can leave this summer if club do not qualify for Europe. That does not mean he won’t leave but he hasn’t said he wants to go and neither has there been any contact with #nufc from interested clubs at this stage. It’s only March but yet another week of stories linking Newcastle players with a move. Going to be a long summer 😬

"He was part of the best front 3 in world football for a long time - the one with the most numbers. That says something." "I really hope on the last matchday you all will have a smile on your face and just be happy that you were part of one of the most incredible careers we will ever be part of." 🎥 TAW Exclusive: Jürgen on Salah leaving Liverpool

This is an extremely disappointing decision from the club. We were clear to them that increasing prices for three seasons in a row is wrong and unfair Here’s our initial reaction to this

@AdamMcKola He had AS MUCH impact as all those players had if not even more because out of all the forwards we had he was the constant one and consistently doing the business , winning trophies , golden boots ,the most important Liverpool player recently. You just in denial and a hater.

All stats with you nerds. Facts are he isn't anywhere near the level or impact that Cantona, Giggs, Rooney, Ronaldo, Keane, etc. had. Fella couldn't defend a title, threw his toys out of the pram because he didn't start a few games and chucked his team under the bus.
Sean@SeanDOlfc

@AdamMcKola He’s got more goals for Liverpool than anyone has scored in the history of Man Utd but he doesn’t make top 5 lol

@AnfieldSector The substitutes that he constantly makes that make absolutely ZERO SENSE should be a clear indicator already that he does not have the tactics for the job , let alone the standard of training and the willingness from the players to press from the front that all boils down to him.

[📰] INFO: A decision on Arne Slot will be made only after this season ends. The fact that he hasn't signed a new deal as he approaches the final year of his contract perhaps speaks louder than any public or private backing the head coach is receiving from those who matter at Anfield, though. But while Champions League qualification remains realistic - and it should, the Reds are clinging on to fifth - Slot will get the chance to finish the job. How that internal review at the end of the campaign shakes out, however, is open to debate. A variety of factors explain much of Liverpool's difficulties, and there is sympathy for Slot's behind-the-scenes predicaments. But 10 Premier League defeats is a grim statistic and there can be no denying that performances have been largely desperate for months now. The idea of the Reds dispensing with the Dutchman before the summer is unrealistic. After that, how the review goes is anyone's guess. [@ptgorst] liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football…

[🟢] NEW: “All our information, despite reports to the contrary, is that Liverpool are sticking with Arne Slot. There’s no thought to changing coach. They are planning with him and their priority is to give him the profile of squad to succeed. “If you look at the range of factors on and off the pitch, it’s remarkable. I’m not surprised that Liverpool want to give him longer… he will be the massive part of their recruitment planning too.” [@David_Ornstein on the Athletic Podcast]

“Reports of Arne Slot’s departure this summer are wide of the mark. The club hierarchy are set to hold a review at the end of the season but are currently leaning towards giving Slot their backing in light of the various mitigating circumstances of this campaign.”

[🟢] BREAKING: Arne Slot stands on the verge of the sack at Liverpool, with Xabi Alonso waiting in the wings to replace him. Liverpool’s 10th league defeat of the season, a loss to Brighton at the weekend, has sealed Slot’s fate at Anfield. He will leave in the summer, and Liverpool have avoided an immediate dismissal only because their Champions League rivals have also dropped points. [Axel Hesse, @BILD via @Sport_Witness]
