This is the right idea. The comic space doesn't lack for talent. What's missing are curators. Voices that people genuinely like and trust and can cut through the noise and say, "this is worth your time." Manga, games, movies and pretty much any hobby all have thriving ecosystems of personalities who share what they love and guide audiences toward it. Comics have people trying to fill that role, but most of them struggle to keep the lights on. And that matters, because discovery today runs on social proof. Most of the time, people don't find new entertainment through ads, they find them through other people. Conversations, recommendations, word-of-mouth. Until comics have a healthy amount of curators amplifying what’s good, a lot of great comics are going to stay buried. Anyhoo. You can read my comic, Loogie, on Global Comix.
