@DestinLegarie that’s how I feel too, I was interested when Marathon started talking about adding a PVE mode, but feeling like they killed Destiny for it… I don’t know if I could even enjoy it without feeling apathetic about it

I know I'm angry about the Bungie situation. Almost don't even want to touch Marathon until it's confirmed Destiny is not dead.
Killing off a series I have ~10k+ hours in and covered for over a decade. It's the wrong move.
Everyone but the idiots calling the shots know this.

@KyleThmpsn Alkahest 0.6 will release after the final update. Though do keep in mind that alkahest only works with the latest build of Destiny 2, it is not backwards compatible

While our love for Destiny 2 has not changed, it has become clear that after The Final Shape, we have reached the time for our shared worlds, and Destiny, to live beyond Destiny 2. As our focus turns towards a new beginning for Bungie, we will begin work incubating our next games. To that end, on June 9, 2026, we will release the final live-service content update for Destiny 2 to begin that new journey as a studio. Though active development may be concluding, we will ensure that Destiny 2 remains playable, just as the original Destiny is today.
