@Espngreeny It's insane. They're both undisciplined and soft at the same time. They don't hit. They don't tackle. There's no accountability on offense. With their talent, they can get away with one or two of those things but not all of them at once.

In a season filled with embarrassing performances, that was the worst. In a history filled with horrible seasons, this may be the worst. The #Jets of 2024 are one of the truly colossal failures in recent sports memory. And it only gets worse from here.

Not to overstate a Week 3 game too much (although I'm about to do it anyway) but tomorrow is MASSIVE for the #Jets when looking realistically at the road ahead. Win this game and the season stays right on track. Lose and the whole thing is thrown off. With a win tomorrow, Jets just have to win 1 of the next 3 (most realistically in Denver) to be 3-3 at the bye, surviving the 6-game gauntlet without Rodgers at .500. People would have happily signed up for 3-3 with Rodgers, let alone if I told you he'd miss every game. Then all they have to do to reach 9-8 and a good shot at the playoffs is go 6-5 against a back portion of the schedule that's looking pretty soft as of now. If they can go 3-3 across this tough six-game stretch, then going 6-5 against those final 11 feels very doable. But it all starts tomorrow. Lose, and now you have to steal either the KC or Philly game (or both if they lose in Denver) to avoid going 2-4 into the bye. It's tough to envision that happening if they can't even handle the 0-2 Pats at home without three cornerbacks. Winning tomorrow buys the Jets leeway to lose those two extremely difficult games and still stay afloat going into the bye, so long as they beat Denver. That's why tomorrow is so important. It's hard to see the Jets bouncing back from 2-4 at the bye. But at 3-3 and 2-0 in the division (possibly 3-1 in the AFC if they beat Denver), you have to feel like they are very much in the mix for a wild card. That one-game difference between 2 and 3 wins makes a drastic change to the morale and outlook. And that one game is tomorrow. All the Jets have to do is beat Mac Jones at home and they are in perfectly fine shape going forward.

That supposed missed tripping call on the punt return is not nearly as blatant and clear as John Parry was making it out to be.

@MLBONFOX @BravesOnBally A lot of tough people in these comments who have never taken 95 to the kidney, ribs, elbow, wrist. From a pitcher who hasn't had to hit since high school and faces no retaliation anymore with the universal DH.

@GuruFantasyWrld Just watch their tape from college. Eye test tells you Wilson is elite. He's like a combo of Stevie Johnson and Stefon Diggs. Nothing against Olave though. He's going to be extremely productive

Garrett Wilson outproduced Chris Olave at Ohio State, got drafted higher than Chris Olave, & then outproduced him again as a rookie. When are you guys going to accept the fact that Garrett Wilson is simply a better player?
Kreitzz@KreitzmanAdam

@GuruFantasyWrld Olave is gonna outscore both :)

@BenVerlander By following Twitter/X, I've realized most people are dumber than I could have imagined. To simpify it; Betts is awesome, Freddie is awesome, but it's Acuna's year. Literally the best player on the field every night. He has done things no one has ever done. He deserves the MVP

It’s interesting to me that the argument against Ronald Acuña Jr for MVP is DEVALUING his 60+ stolen bases this season 😂 What a ridiculous argument. Is stealing 60+ bags the same as before the new rules? No. Is it still an absolutely incredible feat. Yes.

@MetsAvenue First off, check the games from May 1st and June 6th. Secondly, even if you're going to hit someone on purpose, you don't do it with an 89 mph sinker

@TheJetPress Wow. Worst and best fan base to be a part of but I love it. Give him some time dude. He's played 1 full season now and you expect him to be awesome all the time. That roughing the passer bullshit call completely changed the game and game plan. Jets win if that wasn't called

This is a good #Jets roster with a great defense. If they had competent QB play they’d be a 10-win team. Unfortunately, they might have the worst starting QB in the NFL.

@Espngreeny Yes you can. Just because Mac is a doofy QB doesn't mean that should be called. Wouldn't be called against Allen, Fields, Hurts, Lawrence. 10 point swing call. That's awful

I can’t complain about the roughing call. They call that everywhere, every week. It’s an inexcusable mistake by a player who makes a lot of them and it completely changes the game. #Jets

@tfbpjb02 @KevinMcAlpin You're proving my point. It was hit hard directly to Lindor and there were 2 outs. Every infielder tries to throw it to first there 99% of the time. Arcia would have made it home with that aggressive turn if Harris beat it out.
