All three of those areas are literal no-go zones. Native Swedes know not to go anywhere near those places. There are some working class people living in Tensta and they tend not to have control over their children as much. Husby and Rinkeby are notorious Muslim ghettos/no-go zones, especially Rinkeby. The incident occurred on June 19, 2014, in a garden colony cabin (kolonistuga) in the Järvafältet area of Stockholm, Sweden (near suburbs like Husby, Rinkeby, and Tensta). The victim was a Swedish teenage girl who was brought there by a group of men (estimates of 5–8 perpetrators involved in the assault), held captive overnight, and subjected to repeated oral and vaginal rape. One perpetrator used a gun-like object (pistol) inserted into her, causing severe internal injury and heavy bleeding described as her "abdomen bursting." She was later found in a pool of blood. Public reports name one convicted perpetrator as Mehdi (a migrant who was around 22 at the time of sentencing). He was convicted of aggravated rape but received only 200 hours of community service instead of prison time (the district court noted the crime warranted ~5 years under the law at the time). Swedish citizenship granted after the crime prevented deportation. Full names of other perpetrators are not widely published in English-language sources (common in Swedish media for such cases to protect identities or due to legal norms). Alternative media outlets described the group as immigrants/Arabs from the area. The case gained renewed attention in early 2021 when the lenient sentence for Mehdi was reported.
