We show that psilocybin improves body weight maintenance in activity-based anorexia, enhances cognitive flexibility in a reversal learning task, and causes transient changes in inhibitory output from the prefrontal cortex via 5-HT1A and 5-HT2A mechanisms

Cool thing!!? Based on recent work by @KynaConn from @ClaireFoldi lab, I think we both ID'd similar distribs of psil responsive (~75%) and resistant (~25%) animals in reversal learning assays! 1st pic from them (1.5mg/kg rats, tinyurl.com/bp9bfu96), 2nd from me (1mg/kg mice)

Here, we empirically identified subpopulations of psil responsive and non-responsive C57 mice in a five day trace fear conditioning (TFC) and extinction task. We found that reduced freezing during acute psil, but not saline, predicted overall extinction rate. 3/10
