When I looked back the data, I wondered why only P. distasonis increased in Acr-treated mice, but not P. goldsteinii? Investing the difference of the ability to utilize carbohydrates in detail may be an interesting way to modulate the gut microbiota by diet🤔

4/n. (Fig. 3) Acarbose suppressed anaphylaxis depending on gut microbiota alteration. We found that Parabacteroides distasonis dramatically increased in acarbose-treated mice, and a combination of acarbose and P. distasonis also suppressed anaphylaxis.
