How I could've rugged 20 $SOL, and why I did. Here's my honest feedback after launching a token on @Pumpfun for a mainnet project I built: @lockfun_official Just like I did with $REDROK, I launched $LOCKFUN. The project? Lockfun lets you lock any token on Solana. Same as @streamflow_fi. I fully replicated the @Pumpfun UI/UX, which was genuinely formative as a builder. The app also lets you spot at a glance which tokens have locked supply, so you can instantly identify the serious projects. Early on, the token pumped. I could've rugged for around 20 $SOL. 🫠 Then reality hit, again. Same patterns as $REDROK. Telegram flooded with 100+ scam / "marketing" DMs. Zero real users. Affiliate program: empty. Engagement: near zero. 🔻 I recognized it faster this time. So I rugged. And here's what I learned from doing this second token launch: - Speed beats hesitation when you've seen the pattern before. - Nobody holds a rug against you — not on Telegram, not on X. It's the game. - @Pumpfun is built for rugging and nothing else. It's a disguised ponzi. Early players win, that's it. - Lives only matter if you go live before the pump. After that, nobody's watching. - The gold Business/Pro badge on the project's X account probably helped attract early attention. - Launching from a wallet with past pumps creates a track record. Degens notice and come in faster. - After rugging, I bought back in once the token dropped, then rugged again to create volume. Despair, regret, and FOMO make holders follow. The technique works when you control the supply. The app lockfun.xyz will stay live, as will the Solana program, just like redrok.xyz. The codebase isn't wasted. As a bonus: 1.7 $SOL in creator rewards. I'll keep launching projects I genuinely believe in, on @Pumpfun or elsewhere. 🌕 We build until one hits.
