Kevin “Rashid” Johnson, a Black revolutionary who is being held in prison, has developed malignant prostate cancer. He was approved to see a specialist but it was never approved. Raise the alarm about the medical neglect hurting Black political prisoners. rashidmod.com/?p=3213

We're holding our next Reimagining Masculinities: Healing Circle on 28 June Last month we used the themes/artwork of @kendricklamar’s new album as a point of reference, & discussed accountability, “withnessing”, healing practices & how we can share this work in our communities.

Earlier this year a few of us on here got together to read Harsha Walia’s Border and Rule. It brought people from all over together and it was great tbh. We’re about to start Ruth Wilson Gilmore’s Abolition Geography. If you’re interested in joining get in touch!

@blekjpg Maybe because our ancestors left the continent as slaves? I'm not African American, British Caribbean but going back to Africa is a spiritual thing because of our history. It's a common theme in Reggae music and is an anchor for a people torn away from their culture/history.

A teacher who was murdered in the Uvalde shooting last week, and her husband who died the next day of a grief heart attack, had their funerals today. Then 3 active shootings happened simultaneously tonight, and we had to decide whether to feature all 3 or focus on the deadliest.
