Essential, anticipatory and preventative care, supporting admission avoidance….in many ways still remains invisible, unrecognised and poorly understood!

@PaulaMc007 Tier 2 training is available but dependent on role. I redid the tier 1 training after retiring earlier this year but still continuing to work in healthcare in a different environment and took advantage of the opportunity to repeat this during induction. Wishing you well Paula.

@L4Lesley #Oliverscampaign Are your organisations rolling it out? Also, you should only have to redo Oliver's training every three years, irrespective if you change jobs and organisations

#Oliverscampaign Just had my surgery to remove my cancer. The hospital staff were so kind and understanding regarding my PTSD around Hospital Theatres and Oliver's death. I'm a bit sore, a little woozy, but glad to be home.

Also need better emphasis on vital roles of community/primary care services within narrative on healthcare. ‘NHS’ or indeed healthcare provision is not just hospitals! Investing in the preventative work happening in communities and people’s homes will support the ‘fix’

“NHS is broken” rhetoric makes those of us on the front line feel completely disheartened and devalued. My corner of the NHS is not broken. As I’ve said before, the NHS is not one blob but a patchwork, many sections of which are saving lives and helping people every minute.
