Still on cloud9 from getting the #FAIRACT sign by @GovSherrillNJ yesterday. @32BJNewJersey members have been fighting for this for 3+ yrs & we got it signed in our Governor’s first 6 months! Working families win when workers, tenants, WE, all work together! Si se puede!

🚨 Today is a victory for working families in New Jersey.
32BJ SEIU proudly celebrates Governor @GovMikieSherrill signing the FAIR Act into law, banning the use of rent-setting algorithms that have helped drive up housing costs and price families out of their communities.

🔥🚨DEVELOPING: This shooting has led to a massive debate online over who was in the wrong. The camera man can be seen begging the man carrying a gun to shoot him several times, the gunman attempted to runaway and the camera man followed him demanding that the gunman shoot him,
The gunman finally shot him and now a friend of the camera man is questioning if the shooting was justified.

How often do we hit those defining moments in life that completely change how we see ourselves and how others see us?
For me, it was back in 9th grade. My older brother, who picked on me all the time, smirked and said, “You think you’re pretty tough now, don’t you?” I shot back, “I could take you.” His challenge: “Bring it on, Jethro.”
It wasn’t exactly fair, but I locked him up, rolled him onto his back, and pinned him down. All he could say was, “You stink.”
Things were never the same between us after that. Like these sisters, the youngest sibling launches a surprise switch kick, and suddenly the tables turn as they tumble onto the couch.
It has been said....
“Watch out for the youngest sibling. They will pull a switch kick out of their a$$ on a random Friday.”
It’s those unexpected family power shifts - even the playful ones - that stick with you forever.
What’s a moment like that from your life where a surprise move changed the dynamic?

🚨 White teenagers in Florida left their Black friend Marquise to drown in a river while taunting him with slurs and monkey noises from the shore.
Marquise couldn’t swim well and was wearing an ill-fitting child-sized life jacket. A kayaking family rescued him as he feared for his life.
He said his “friends” expected him to swim back alone. This kind of racist behavior is disgusting and should be investigated.

This is actually disgusting to watch.
A woman with a walker is clearly struggling to get through the door. The person standing literally right there? Just watches her fight with it and does nothing.
The caption says it all:
“I’m actually so disappointed and disgusted by this.”
What is wrong with humanity these days?
