One of the many #LAPD officers that protect and serve our city while many of us sleep, was seriously injured in a traffic collision last night. Please keep our officer and her family in your prayers as she recovers. twitter.com/lapdhq/status/…

Around 2am #LAPD Pacific Sgt was in her police veh in Culver City when she was struck by another vehicle. Susp of the vehicle fled the scene. The Sgt was transported to local hospital & has what appears to be non-life threatening but serious injuries with several broken bones

Los Angeles lost a dedicated public servant today. Former Police Commission President John Mack was instrumental in guiding the #LAPD towards community-based 21st century policing. Our department and our city are in a better place because of John’s legacy.

Today we unveiled the newest addition to our #LAPD fleet- 20 eBikes. Our new, state-of-the-art @BullsBikesUSA eBikes will not just give us the largest fleet of its kind for a police department, they will help our officers enhance community policing practices throughout L.A.

Meet this lifesaving team from LAPD Mission Division. While Officer Baghdasarian fended off 3 vicious pitbulls who had just mauled a man, Officer Aguirre used his @USMC EMT training to apply tourniquets to both legs. Doctors said their actions saved the man from bleeding to death

Honored to name my friend Dr. Kenji Inaba our 1st Chief Surgeon of the #LAPD. Kenji is not only a dedicated Reserve Officer, he’s also a @USC Professor of Surgery while also being a full time trauma surgeon. He’s the embodiment of the slogan #TwiceACitizen
