Today I head off on maternity leave and so will not be monitoring this twitter account. Look out for Izzy who is taking over and will keep you updated on all the work going on at LAS to support people with a learning disability and autistic people. Exciting times ahead! 🙂

Last year #TeamLAS attended around 15,900 people with a Learning Disability or Autistic people to provide care. Our accessible resources help people to know what to expect when we visit them, ensuring they get the care they need in a timely way 💚 #LearningDisabilityWeek

The UCP team + colleagues from our new use case groups including dementia, frailty, personalised care and learning disabilities and autism, have spent the morning brainstorming the new UCP template. Watch this space!

@Ben_LD_Nurse @RoyalLondonHosp Hi Ben, we are promoting the use of the new Universal Care Plans as a standardised electronic care plan across London and are in the process of starting work with the UCP team to make these more personalised for people with a LD or Autistic people. Happy to catch up and discuss!

This week we held our first LAS Public Patient Council for people with a Learning Disability and Autistic people. Online and in person meetings to promote inclusion and accessibility across London. Great engagement and excited to start this way for people to influence our service
