J'ai lu plein de retours sur EthCC, certains bien, d'autres moins, je vais pas en refaire un parce que je pense que les principales choses ont été dites. Mais voilà mon ressenti perso. Oui il y avait moins de monde. Moins de touristes aussi, ce qui est pas forcément un mal. Mais en vrai le vrai sujet c'est qu'on s'ennuie clairement et je sais que je suis pas la seule à le penser. J'en ai parlé avec pas mal de gens sur place et le constat est le même. Moi ça m'a fait plaisir d'y aller parce que j'aime toujours créer du contenu, j'ai filmé pour ma chaîne et pour Kraken, et c'était cool de recroiser des gens que j'avais pas vus depuis longtemps. Mais au-delà de ça, il y a rien à faire, l'énergie n'est plus la même. Beaucoup de gens que je connaissais n'étaient tout simplement pas là. Parce qu'il n'y a plus d'argent, parce que les side events étaient beaucoup moins huge que l'année d'avant, parce que l'abondance qu'on a connue c'est fini et ça se voit. Et si je suis honnête, en ce moment je suis beaucoup plus hypée par l'IA que par la crypto en vrai Sinon semaine pro je serai aussi à Paris Blockchain Week, vous pouvez me dm si vous voulez qu'on se croise là-bas 👀

🇫🇷 @EthCC this year carried a different tone. The crowd was leaner, fewer passersby, fewer opportunistic narratives & a much higher signal-to-noise ratio. What remained were operators, builders & people with longer time horizons. The market cycle did its job: it refined the room.

Conferences are hitting differently this year. I’ve been to 3 so far, and have just returned from a few days at EthCC. Despite the noticeable “bear market” atmosphere, there is something truly special about this part of this cycle. We all know the merits of building in a bear. Monad was built in a bear. Monad was launched in a bear. Yet I can only feel bullish for its future. Those who are (still) building or hustling now likely do so for long-term reasons. It made each new and revisited conversation I had much more rewarding. And for those who are just now getting their feet wet, the reasons for jumping in are beyond short-term horizons. This isn’t a unique insight, of course. But it’s encouraging to acknowledge nonetheless, and hopefully see you at the next one.
