If you want to know me and how I think please read my statement. I stand by this and it’s my personal opinion. I try to challenge myself every day with a new idea or to understand things that have a deeper meaning. I suppose that’s the meaning of philosophical conversations with oneself. I was reading the entirety of Nietzsche’s quote. God is dead and we have killed him. We must give Nietzsche his due, as he was a genius. I will post the entire quote below, but here is what I see. Nietzsche implies that God is dead and we have killed him. It seems to me that statement says that we as human beings are now responsible for determining our own values and morality in society. As a Christian, I know that that is impossible because we are imperfect and prone to selfishness. There is a space for the political identity and for the religious identity. The Bible clearly states give unto Caesar, what is Caesar’s and render unto God what is God’s. That simple statement in itself is the separation of those ideas. We live in a society where we have many questions about what identity is, and how we navigate that, is in itself, a part of our identities . If we allow politics to become the entirety of ourselves then that means God is Caesar, which is bad, and Caesar is God, which is even worse. I challenge those of you who actually take the time to read this post and to consider where you are in life with your identity, with your perspective, and with your opinion. Try to understand how these things separate themselves within yourself, and then decide how you feel about yourself as a human being in a space with a spectrum of 1 million other people who are not like you, and are separate from oneself without God. We are inherently immoral and society needs to get back to a place of morality, and right and wrong being defined in the public space.. Just my two cents for the day and you get a feel of how my brain works. We are living in crazy times my friends and it’s good to reevaluate yourself from time to time. Yes, J.R.R. Tolkien was a devout Roman Catholic throughout his life. He described himself as a committed Christian and noted that his faith profoundly influenced his literary work, calling The Lord of the Rings a "fundamentally religious and Catholic work". His faith was central to his identity and influenced the themes of his stories

Currently overwhelmed mentally and physically. Two jobs, running a side business, helping to care for my 18 month old grandson, in debt up to my ears (self imposed I know).. trying to care for my home and my animals.. I’m in full blown menopause, married to an alcoholic who is so kind, but his addiction ruins any hope of me being able to allow him to take any of the responsibilities off my shoulders. I don’t know how long I can keep this up without having a full blown breakdown.. only posting here because no one who knows me personally is on here or follows me.. not looking for sympathy just needing to vent.. I don’t know what’s next for me, but I can’t for the life of me figure out what I can remove from my plate that isn’t necessary… I feel like I have nothing left to give and I’m on the verge of a heart attack daily..
