@wwfcofficial No excuse for Norris to ever play for us again, if we’d had any other keeper we’ve had over the last 10 years we’d be comfortably in the playoffs. Also Allen shouldn’t be starting, much rather Taylor and Casey when Casey’s back
@wwfcofficial Scowen left out whilst leahys on the bench? Don’t get that. Pleased to see Henderson starting though, hopefully we can get something tonight, COYB
I’d have Harvie, Allen, Taylor, Grimmer
Unchanged at the back, we’ve got injuries but realistically as much as the CB’s are a downgrade on Anders and Casey they’re our best options right now with the currently injury dilemma.
Skura i think will need time to learn Duff’s system, whether that’s when to go long and what triggers to look for higher up the pitch to go long, and when to play short for a bounce pass, out of possession when to jump to a player between the lines and when to stay deep.
Don’t think he’ll be ready to be honest.
Cardiff away tomorrow, expect long periods without the ball in our 4-4-2 mid block with a winger dropping deep into the last line in our low block making a situational back 5.
Need compactness across all phases, similar performance to Fulham at home in the cup earlier this szn.
@george_mjg@wwfcofficial Maybe, but we haven’t been conceding from them. We bring in Allen and Taylor and all of a sudden we start conceding from them, I struggle to see how that’s a coincidence
@LB_WYC@wwfcofficial No I got bored of listening when he said they were good goals from a Luton pov
Corners/crosses have been a problem all season, stems from the keeper being a giant pussy
@george_mjg@wwfcofficial Did you hear the part of the interview where duff said we’ve conceded 2 goals from corners all season before today?
I’m not saying Norris is any good, but the blame lies elsewhere here, 100%
@DZI_WWFC Agreed, although he was really poor on the ball today, I think we can get away with playing Allen if he’s next to Casey
Difference between today and the time with Casey on the pitch last week is mental
@LB_WYC Yeah if i’m absolutely honest I think losing Anders and Casey might ruin our season and hopes of playoffs, they’re so vital both in and out of possession in particular the former.
@pikachudard1s@HeroesOfHP12 Pretty sure we had one of the best records from defending corners in the league this season.
That was of course before Casey and anders got injured, and now yeah, we can’t
WYCOMBE VS BOLTON ANALYSIS: 🚨
What makes the loss so frustrating is how good we played throughout the game both in and out of possession, for the former we utilised bounce passes really well from usually Morley who'd start higher and drop allowing him the time and space to bounce to usually Allen. From there we could see a 3rd man run with Harris dropping deep and Harvie attacking the vacated space in behind, or Allen could either retain the ball or go long to Lowe who's an outlet.
Anyone thinking that’s playoffs gone is very much mistaken. We outplayed Bolton for 70 odd minutes before some poor in game tweaks and decisions along with our away mentality led to the crumble. Yes we lost from 2-0 up and the mood is negative, but there are a lot of positives to take from the performance especially from the first 45.
10 games left for us, 12 for Stevenage, 11 for Reading and 10 for Huddersfield. Still a lot of football to be played.
@apcwwfc I’m aware, Taylor was miles off it and when we went to the 5 he wasn’t exposed. Obviously staying as a 4 would’ve been better, but only if we had Casey. Also, bringing on scowen to the first time in a year along with Leahy was ridiculous and once Leahy was on we lost all control.
I’m sorry for me that’s poor management, absolute class until we invited them on for 60 minutes. That’s why we’re not going up, Plymouth, Exeter and now today that’s 7 points lost through changing to 5 at the back and inviting the opposition on.
