NEX WEEK’S #FORECAST: A cold front will move through the area late Sunday, conditions will stay dry and winds will be breezy, coming from the south gusting up to 30mph. Compressional heating will take place ahead of the front. Since conditions will be dry, windy, and warmer than average, fire danger will be present to the west of the metroplex, please avoid any activities that may cause a spark! The cold front will cool temperatures off into the middle 70s on #Monday. However, this is still above average. The warming trend continues through the week as a mid-level ridge dominates throughout the rest of the week. Highs will be back in the 90s by mid-week. Severe Weather possible for North #Texas today: Tuesday, March 10th⚡️⛈️☔️ The Storm Prediction Center has highlighted a level 3 out of 5 to the west of I-35 and a level 2 out of 5 east of I-35. Numerous to scattered severe storms will likely pop up, make sure you're prepared...Here's the timing: 1st round 2 pm to 7 pm: for the southeastern counties, may see #severe weather develop if a capping inversion is broken. 2nd round 7 pm to 3 am: ahead of a cold front that will push west to east. Metroplex could see the strongest activity 9 pm to 2 am. All modes of severe #weather are possible, make sure you have ways to get alerts! @CBSNewsTexas #dfw #txwx

This Week's #Forecast... - Monday: cloudy and breezy with temperatures will gradually climb into the 70s by lunch and reach the low 80s for the afternoon high. A few showers and isolated storms will be possible to the east of I-35 today, but most of the area will stay dry. - Tuesday: chance for severe weather. As of now, the Storm Prediction Center has highlighted a slight risk, level 2 out of 5, indicating the confidence is high for scattered severe #storm development. In the afternoon, a dryline will pop up a few isolated strong and potentially severe storms, however, there is a capping inversion that will be in place Tuesday, so severe storms will be dependent on the environmental factors. The evening a cold front will swing through and provide a scattered threat of severe weather and widespread showers. The strongest weather is expected from 4pm through midnight. All modes of severe weather are possible. - Wednesday: Rain will continue overnight through Wednesday as the low-pressure system will move over North Texas. An additional inch or so of accumulation will be possible. After the front swings through, conditions clear. - Thursday: PERFECT #WEATHER! - Friday through the weekend: Sunny and warm! @CBSNewsTexas
