@HistoryPegg Be interesting to see how he gets on with his job. Our UKIP local councillors were lazy, arrogant, small minded, refused to read papers and follow the rules. They just caused trouble… and didn’t get voted back in.

Today the people of Newfoundland and Labrador lay to rest an Unknown Soldier returned from France. The Newfoundland Regiment fought in Gallipoli, at the #Somme, Cambrai, in 3rd Ypres, and the 100 days. This trench marker from the #Somme is on display at @I_W_M Lambeth Road #FWW

Hello All and Happy Saturday. Walked the southern part of the old railway line from Singapore to Malaysia. Plenty of time to think of the POWs who assembled at Singapore Station, were packed into metal rice trucks and shipped off to the Thai-Burma Railway.
