Calling all authors! We're currently looking for stories set in August onwards for our weekly, and from late autumn onwards for our Specials. We're also now ready to read Advent and Christmas stories to feature across all 'Friend' publications. All genres and word counts!

I've had the BEST day visiting the offices of DC Thomson in Dundee, where my weekly soap opera Riverside is published in @Thefriendmag The magazine is a powerhouse and I wouldn't be the writer and author I am without it.

Good morning! Just to clarify what we're asking for when it comes to submitting a story... It must be on a Word document. Use single line spacing and no formatting. That's it!

@TheFriendMag Thank you! And do you have just one space after full stops ? I learnt to touch type back when it was two and I’m having to train myself out of that now styles have changed!

@HazelML_PF That's right, don't indent and just start a new paragraph on a new line.

@TheFriendMag Thank you! By “no formatting” do you mean don’t indent the paragraphs? How’s best for us to show a new paragraph? Is it just to start a new line, with no line space or indent? Thank you
