@markdil39758371 @philbc3 @SteveNickSmith *discounting Scotland, at any rate. Even counting Scotland, they're down on absolute votes from both 2017 and 2019 and down on vote share from 2017, quite significantly so.
English

@markdil39758371 @philbc3 @SteveNickSmith Labour's overall vote share and absolute vote count are down from the last two elections as well, though.
English

If you don't think this is worth commenting or thinking on, then your politics are completely unserious.

Labour's precarious triumph – the average seat majority is now around 6,700, down from 11,200 in 2019. newstatesman.com/politics/2024/…

@bullrike @AaronBastani 1997 was the last time people knew ahead of time it'd be a landslide. They still came out and voted.
People just aren't enthused about any of the options on display this go-around, there's no need to reach for a more complicated explanation.
English

@LCDavies @AaronBastani Turnouts had always been over 70% back then.
And where did I say anything about 1997? I’m comparing it to 2019 and to 2017.
English

@bullrike @AaronBastani The turnout in 1997 was over 70%, though. And people knew that was going to be a landslide.
English

@AaronBastani People knew that Labour was winning so felt they could branch out or stay at home.
In a tight race the vote share would have been higher.

The headline should be “With war in Europe a possibility we need a second echelon to the Army which is where National Service might have a role” for those who didn’t read beyond the editor’s attention grabbing headline!

@PhilipGarey @Pilestedt @Isak_N Broseph for some insane reason Sony won't take a credit card for PSN age verification like everyone fucking else in the UK does for the Online Safety Bill. They want me to fork over my photo ID and they can fuck *right* off with that.
Otherwise I'd still be playing.
English

@Pilestedt @Isak_N It was listed on the steam page. I appreciate you trying to take constructive criticism.
I think gamers are over reacting.
It's a learning lesson for a publisher about how reactionary PC gamers are.
Gamers in country with PSN are being un reasonable for a $40 online game.
English

Is this the moment to tweet "What? You guys don't have phones?" 😵💫
On serious note: We are talking solutions with PlayStation, especially for non-PSN countries. Your voice has been heard, and I am doing everything I can to speak for the community - but I don't have the final say.

@brandenjmoss @KartalEagleEye @helldivers2 loadsa people are either region locked out of PSN or unwilling to send sony an ID card for age verification, fam.
English

@dialupready @jesawyer But... Clerics aren't healers/support. Combat healing is bad in D&D - you use clerics for their control and damage.
English

@jesawyer i don’t think healers/support can be fun to play as the main character in a single player RPG, you don’t feel like the protagonist you feel like support for NPCs
of course I don’t have the imagination that it can be innovated to make people feel like they’re the protagonist
English

In my experience this has nothing to do with the specifics of BG3 or 5E; people generally don’t make cleric/priest main characters in fantasy RPGs. They’ve been the least played class in every fantasy RPG I’ve made.
Mordaedil@Mordaedil
@jesawyer No point in having a cleric when Healing Word is the better healing spell in the game and a bunch of classes gain access to that one.
English

@aden_ng As I've said to like ten other people repeating this narrative... they could have just suspended her with pay or announced an investigation or like ten other fucking things other than firing her for a breach of contract that she did not commit.
Begging you to not justify hate.
English

@shaun_vids And what were the conditions they wanted on their surrender prior to the bombs, Shaun? Why don't you share that part with the class?

So @Blizzard_Ent and @FutureGamesShow put out a "Diablo 4 Devs Answer YOUR Questions" video, but the questions seem... off. Luckily, they included the handles of the "people" asking these questions so we can easily verify them! SURELY nothing wack is going on... 🧵
English

@revhowardarson 'with the correct APIs' man with the correct APIs a random noise machine could do anything, way to elide things - for example, dogs have social needs that humans can meet through body language - reducing emotive body language to 'an API can handle that' is silly
English

@JagexSupport Is there no way for me to flag certain recovery questions as compromised? My specific concern here is someone impersonating me in the account recovery process, using my old details as 'verification'.
English

@LCDavies Hi, I'm sorry to hear that. Once you've checked out this article jgx.game/Phishing please ensure you follow all the steps listed here: jgx.game/SecurityTips ~Dorothy
English

@JagexSupport I recently fell victim to a phishing attempt for my OSRS account — while I recognised it quickly and changed my password quickly, I'm concerned about the attacker using my old details to access account recovery. What can I do? #OSRS

@gmai_sutton That would be great if Starmer would actually commit to things like 'rebuilding the NHS', 'helping the poor' or 'ending child poverty' rather than standing for seemingly nothing.

@SteveCa30448773 Scotland generated about £75 billion tax revenue in 2021-2022 and benefited from ~£100 billion in public spending.
What subsidies are you talking about?
English

@ClacherKenneth The fuck are you talking about, that's not how tax funds are allocated.
