The reason Red States pay less in taxes is because that is where food is grown, where your National Parks and Forests exist. I am a from a generational ranch/farm family. We own 3000 acres in North Florida those cows and soybeans do not pay income tax. How much income tax would that land generate in downtown NYC? Florida is a donor state (thanks for your transplant billionaires) but other states especially the Midwest has miles and miles of grazing land, wheat and corn fields, chickens and more and more. In the South we have dairy farms, corn, rice, wheat, soybeans and vegetable farms. Get the picture yet? So unless you can start eating those dollars bills, STFU

Fair point Palm Beach has leaned blue historically, and registration matters. But outcomes don’t always track registration perfectly turnout, margins, and local dynamics can shift faster than labels suggest. So maybe the real question isn’t “normal or not”… it’s whether the gap between data and perception is growing.
