My #longcovid friends. Please listen to your body. I’ve had LC since 2021. All scans/labs clear until now. Yesterday I had a heart attack. No preexisting conditions. Arteries pristine, but troponin high & heart ultrasound showed a “sluggish” heart. My gut tells me it’s from LC.

I rarely share anecdotes, making an exception here. I've spoken to too many people recently who have developed chronic health problems that are temporally correlated with a recent Covid infection but who weren't aware that Covid was likely the cause. No idea they had Long Covid.

Sometimes it’s hard to accept that many of us will likely have shortened lives due to the ongoing damage occurring, and the only people who can actually do something are congratulating each other for recycling information from 2021 that leads to nowhere as the damage accumulates.

To be crystal clear: the scientific evidence shows pathology and damage in #LongCovid across all organs and body systems. LC is not a "disease of the brain". There are tests such as scans and biopsies that prove multi-system pathology. We need accurate reporting on this topic
