@LCinclusivity

I love to laugh and have fun. I write about my life and how I cope with the lack of inclusive access in society and hope I can influence positive change.

A new domain, a new year! I’ve been absent for months as I had a nasty accident I’m still recovering from. However I’m now recovered enough to start writing again. Going to Naidex this week. Read my blog post to get the most from your visit inclusivelivingconcepts.co.uk/reviews/naidex/

If your doubly incontinent 5 year old P1 non speaking Autistic child wasn't being changed AT ALL during school time, you had marked their nappy and the school lies and says they changed the child twice each day, and are following their care plan what would you do?

Thanks to the success of a crowdfunding initiative, every MP is to receive a copy of a book that investigates how the Department for Work and Pensions caused countless deaths of disabled benefit claimants over the last 14 years. buff.ly/3YB0eT4

While I have an amazing honour tomorrow, on Wednesday I am finally having the surgical procedure I've been waiting for for a year. Hopefully this will put me back to a place I was in 2019. Fingers crossed eh?

Brilliant! Hope it mentions people like myself who are too scared to fly because it’s so inaccessible #RightsonFlights #DisabledPeopleDemand #DisabledInclusion #FrightenedtoFly

Many of you know I’ve travelled to loads of countries for both work and pleasure, even writing a book about my adventures. Flying has always been an anxious part of these trips. Last November, I flew to Bologna airport to speak in San Marino for the World Tourism Organisation's opening keynote speech. When being assisted from the aircraft back to my wheelchair, I almost fell to the floor and severely twisted my knee. This incident, which was preventable, took a lot of effort to be recognised and apologised for by the CEO of the airport. This was the worst experience I’ve had when flying! Considering I’ve had my wheelchair damaged and sustained other minor injuries on flights over the years. After this incident, I joined the @RightsOnFlights team to address this decades-long challenge that I and many others have faced. You may have seen my posts with the team meeting key politicians and industry experts as we push for necessary changes. Everyone agrees that we should all fly with dignity and fairness, but the correct solutions are still not in place. The absolute force of nature that is @sophmorgTV has created a brilliant documentary that airs on Monday at 9:00 p.m. on Channel 4. Please watch the documentary, understand the challenges all stakeholders face, and remember, fixing these issues will be better for them, all customers, and of course, disabled flyers. Alt text - Sophie Morgan showcases damaged wheelchairs and disabled person dragging themselves on a plane floor in her upcoming TV documentary 'Fight to Fly.' The trailer also features a group of disabled people flying together, highlighting the challenges and injustices they face in air travel. #RightsOnFlights #Channel4Documentary #DisabilityInclusion #AccessibleTravel #FlyingWithDignity #ChangeIsComing
