Does Munster owe Siba Mahashe an apology for the spitting allegation?

@dessie1008 @Brendennel More than likely from the fairly high shot from Barron which dislodged the mouth guard. Spitting is a very serious accusation which he got wrong. The gentlemanly thing to do would be to apologise. A simple, sorry mate, I got that wrong. Move on.

@LD151 @Brendennel Spit left the man’s mouth and hit a player? He was right to complain, the reason was found and proved the lions player did not act maliciously, shake hands and move on is how the player dealt with it once that was found, I suggest 👍

@dessie1008 @Brendennel No. The CC is there to pick up legitimate acts of foul play etc. Not spurious, unfounded allegations. It’s pretty obvious why the Lions aren’t happy about it.

@dessie1008 @Brendennel Munster instructed the citing commissioner to investigate something ultimately insignificant. This understandably left a sour taste, no pun intended! Such an outcome could have been avoided with more cordial discussions before involving the CC.

@LD151 @Brendennel He couldn’t have tho? He had a legit complaint and turns out there was a legit reason as to why he ended up with spit on his face. Good outcome for all, shake hands and move on. Fans should try it sometime

@LD151 @Brendennel He made the accusation on the pitch. The citing commissioner was involved. As soon as it was settled they definitely would’ve been in contact, privately. I suggest 99.9% of all incidents end with a handshake after it’s been put to bed.

@Brendennel I would suggest that Barron and himself have had a chat and sorted it out like adults

A team loses and someone will be blamed. And it will be the foreigner. Not the system. Not the head coach. Not the players. And thats rugby. Sigh

@SimonBorchardt Bordeaux were on another level. They are a top 3 test nation at times in their play. No SA club team will ever operate at that level in the current circumstances. So long as the Boks keep ruling the test roost I am ok with that.

@ChalynRugby Off topic but watching Big Ben today was depressing. He's outstanding Imagine if we had access to all our players like SA do, our depth would be amazing. We only have ourselves to blame, we are playing them with a handicap Ben Tameifuna would be a great addition to the ABs atm

@LD151 @slatterywill You can argue that but you could also say the top SA players play way less rugby than the French players and are able to peak for International windows and World Cups.

Leinster's run to this final was always built on unsteady foundations They were fortunate to beat La Rochelle and even luckier to get the easiest L16 & QF draw, considering their seeding, and then a home semi-final The first truly elite team they faced beat them comprehensively

@slatterywill The Nienaber experiment has been a farce. Seems to be a bluffer. I've long thought that the Rassie/Nienaber stick has only workered because of the South African player resources. The guys produced nothing with Munster
