@jaydoubleyou444 No In fact David Kirk is currently looking into NZR paying out the Silverlake share by taking out another debt. There has been NO increase in the agreement with Silverlake since 2023 when the second portion was loaned which was in the original agreement.

Super Rugby today is not fit for purpose.
The five NZ teams all lost money last year. 2025.
Moana Pasifika is going under.
NZ Rugby lost $7.5M last year.
It's time for decisions to be made that result in a more compelling business case and entertainment value.

What about...... Super 10 '2027.'... nine games side then straight semis and final for Top 4.... followed by NPC kicking off concurrently with The Rugby Championship. That would be a 20-22 game season for all Super/ABs or Super/NPC players.

In my video yesterday from the Dave Rennie Press Conference I made reference to Richie Mounga's possible return to the All Blacks.
My position on this is this,
I DO NOT dislike Richie Mounga.
I DO WANT TO SEE the All Blacks building for the future by selecting and backing their young guys.
I keep saying it, Ruben Love is 24 years old, he's played 5 tests for the All Blacks.
Sacha Feinberg Mngomezulu is 24 years old, he has played 19 tests for the Boks.
IF NZ wants to compete and beat the Boks on a regular basis then they need to adopt Rassie's strategy of giving the youngers guys a clear pathway to experience and back them in big games.
The days of bleeding in young guys in against weaker competition are gone. You need to see immediately if the selected players have got what you need to be world class.
It worked for the All Blacks with Fabian Holland, Wallace Sititi and Cam Roigard.
The longer the All Blacks continue to rely on Beauden Barrett, Damian Mc Kenzie and Richie Mounga in that No 10 role the All Blacks game will not evolve in the way it will need to, to beat the top teams in the world.

I walked into the Bridgend stadium last Saturday and felt the spirit of rugby with so many Welsh legends plastered on the walls — only to leave with the spirit of Maradona’s “Hand of God” following the uncontested scrums. That’s not what ‘cleared’ means. It was still not a legal action. It was still dirty and late - just wasn’t a red card. Lord knows how it wasn’t yellow though.
