@LD_Walsh1 @JeffreyLuscombe Montreal is full of EV's. Have you been there lately? Dear lord, Europe and especially Switzerland is known for it's high speed TGV. It runs through the friggin' Alps. These trains are built for the cold. Look things up before spouting nonsense.

Why don’t Conservatives want to boost Canada’s GDP with high-speed rail? Do they hate Canada or something? Lack of vision? Or do they just hate everything Liberals do no matter how much it benefits Canadians? What do you think? #cdnpoli #pierrepoilievre
Stephano🍁Barberis@HelloStephano

Alto highspeed rail will boost Canada’s GDP by a whopping $35 billion. In indirect economic terms, it will pay for itself in two and a half years. It will also boost the economy, hire thousands, clean the environment, and make life better, more convenient and more affordable.

America is facing a metals shortage steel and especially aluminum, both were central to the Admin tariff initiatives. They are part of the Section 232 National Security tariffs at 50%, hurting the economy. Should you put 50% tariffs on a product that requires 75% imports to meet Domestic demand? There may be movement there in the coming days

The Fed faces a tough decision.  With oil prices surging, the March inflation report is expected to show 3–4%.  Cutting rates could stimulate growth, but rising inflation may make it the wrong move for now.

@BusinessInsider Fertilizer has increased almost 20% since mid 2025 due to 25% tariffs on potash which has been lowered to 10% since. US was importing 90% of its potash from Canada

Mr Carney had an opportunity to develop a positive rapport with the President but let his hubris and arrogance come first.  There's no question the Administration must be a challenge to deal with but MR Carney is either completely tone deaf or intentionally undermined relations. There is no replacing trade and commerce with the US, nowhere on earth can it be replaced its so strategically aligned and integrated. Mr Carney has been a failure after 1 year his election campaign was all falsehoods and lies. Who would have thought the Country could get get worse than Trudeau but it has

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said he spoke with Donald Trump tonight to discuss the launch of Artemis II and "developments in the Middle East." I feel sorry for Mark for having to deal with Donald. You know it's gotta be hard.

@MariaBartiromo The United States has been the world’s top producer of crude oil since 2018 Oil production peaked under Biden in 2023 13 million barrels per day, today they are producing 13.6 million barrels so little has changed. It's cheaper to import discounted Canada oil usually $40.00 a barrel and resell the refined products at a huge profit than drill in the US. I’ll bet my hat the economy won’t see real growth until trade with Canada is normalized and tariffs are removed from steel, aluminum, lumber, copper and auto parts

You see perhaps the best games of the playoffs in the 1st Rd it, is intended to further regular season divisional rivalries and boost TV ratings in early rounds but it also eliminates some top teams too early. They used 1-8 format years ago with mix results the league claims but that’s the NHL League office speaking. The NHL is all about maximizing growth and TV. Some of the hockey purists in Canada were not advocates of the game being driven in conjunction with American TV broadcasters

Hello, sounds great on the surface but not in the details or lack of. 80% - 90% of Canada's lumber, steel, aluminum, 3 significant job and GDP generators which transports to the USA via rail or truck. Where will all these materials go via ports and ships after major capital investment? MC needs to fulfil at least 1 campaign promise, check his arrogance and hubris at the door and ensure the Worlds greatest bilateral agreement is history is maintained going forward.

My neighbor recently purchased a Tesla and that's all he talks about is the FSD but its not as if you can take off your shoes and lay back. There are sensors to ensure the driver is focused and ready ay any time to assume control of vehicle.  There are warnings that go off and too many warning may result in suspension of service,  An Elon impersonator here told me I won Tesla one day :)

More fake Liberal bluster. You need to do some research before voting and see just how deeply integrated Canada’s trade is with the US. It’s not just volume or supply chains, it’s what we trade: steel, aluminum, lumber, autos, and auto parts. Those cross-border supply chains run on rail and trucks, not ships. Finding replacement markets via ocean ports would take years, if it’s even possible. And it works both ways. You can’t just screenshot Mark Carney’s words, gush over him like its fact. He’s still hasn’t delivered on any campaign promises so far
