LEAP is extremely grateful to the National Lottery Community Fund and Lottery players everywhere, for its latest funding award of £200,000, which will support the continuation of its befriending and learning and leisure services over the next three years.

We're grateful to SSE Renewables for concentrating on local initiatives and supporting local communities with funding from Clyde Wind Farm.

Great news - @TNLComFundScot has agreed to fund our learning and leisure and befriending services until 2027. We're thankful for the Lottery's decade-plus support, and to everyone who plays the Lottery. Their help allows us to enhance the lives of older people in our community.

Without our volunteers LEAP couldn't do what it does. That's why this #volunteersweek2024 we can't say thank you enough.

Our thanks to Michael Shanks and Robert Brown for coming along and helping us celebrate our Wednesday Lunch Club last week. Both took time to talk to people living with dementia, particularly the carers in the group, who told them what a lifeline the club has become already.

Many thanks to Ghana and his team at Gurkha Buffet for their fundraising night, and to everyone who came along to help raise more than £1500 for ourselves and Rutherglen Rotary. The £775 will go a long way to help us continue to enhance the lives of older people in our community.
