The Green Party have gone from relative obscurity to triggering sustained multi day establishment smear campaigns. As horrible as it is to feel like we’re going through 2017-19 again, it conclusively demonstrates we are now a threat to the rich, powerful, and reactionary.

I feel strongly about the state pension and the threats to it because for me how a society treats its elderly is indicative of whether or not it is a good, decent society. And as someone who has been a carer for two very dear elderly parents I’m incensed when I hear commentators or politicians say that the elderly are now a ‘burden’ that ‘we can’t afford’. Old people are never a burden. It’s corrupt politicians- and those who want us to callously cast the elderly aside - who are the problem.

You can also see they're holding a taser, which presumably immobilised the attacker which is why he's on the ground not really moving. And when they pull his arm out to get him to drop the knife, his arm is shaking (taser?) We all rely on the police to keep us safe, but I don't think it's unreasonable to ask @metpoliceuk if kicking someone in the head five times is acceptable normal practice I'd welcome any clarity from any experienced police officer, or directly from the Met, just to reassure the public on the reasons why these actions were taken I'd also appreciate the integrity of responding with an explanation, not to assume that these questions are meant to demean or diminish the ability of our police to keep us safe
