Thomas Ivor is the big brother of Association members @FamilyByCycle Ruth and Rhoda Jones, who cycled from Land’s End to John o’ Groats in 2018; Rhoda won the Association’s Adams Elloway Trophy. We watch with interest!

Day 1 was always going to be tough. Plenty of climbing, it rained, and I was fresh off the sleeper train from London. Penzance to Land’s End - 10.22 miles The famous door at Land’s End to a friendly campsite just past Launceston - 96.78 miles. #LEJoG #EndToEnd @LEJOGAssoc

What a great pity. It was clearly a fabulous attempt and Chris had dug deep, to great effect. Commiserations to the whole team - until next time? 👊🏻

Overnight the weather has been absolutely awful. Torrential downpours and as a result very cold temperatures have taken their toll on Chris. Her and the team have made the brave (but very sad) decision to conclude her attempt. She ended at Dornoch Bridge, still on schedule!!! 😢

Rhoda Jones is the Youngest Child on record (pending validation) to cycle from Land’s End to John o’Groats - 4 years, 4 months. Her time of 22 days, 3 hours, 26 minutes was narrowly beaten by big sister Ruth (5) who’s the fastest by trailerbike. Thank You to all who supported us.

We've informed the RRA of our decision and Ian's now resting up and hydrating. Thanks for all your support, it's helped so much to keep everyone motivated. We knew the attempt would be tough and the conditions would need to be perfect. Not this time though 😔
