When Klopp left & us having 1 PL in 30 years, if you’d been offered 1 PL title season & 1 tough transition season after changing 6-7 players you’d have bitten arms of. NO LFC manager has retained ANY major trophy in 40+ years!! This isn’t a Slot only issue!

Agree, we need to think of Wirtz as a David Silva type player and get more attacking options including wingers around him. Wirtz and Ekitike alone were always going to struggle to threaten against 4 defenders. Should have played 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1

Arne Slot Tactical Disasterclass… Liverpool are lucky it was only 2-0. Back 5 setup in the worst way possible. PSG feasting in wide areas. Liverpool man to man pressing a disaster from the start. Van Dijk and Gravenberch pulled into deep waters by Kvara, Dembele and Doué. Slot approach reminiscent of Pep tactical blunder v Barcelona in the 2015 UCL semi final first leg. Liverpool need a no.6 in the summer as a priority. We’ve got two holding midfield players who can’t tackle to save their life. Scared of their own shadow those two. Dipping their toe in like they’re testing the bath water

Szoboslai really struggles in tight spaces. He doesn't find solutions to get his pass out as he doesnt' read the spaces quickly enough to know what to do even if there are options and regularly will lose it. He prefers big spaces.

I don’t want to criticise too much considering the guy who’s managing them is largely at fault. But Ekitike and Wirtz, so disappointing once again

Both been shocking this season and both need upgrading in Summer. Nyoni will be benching both of them in 1-2 years

My thoughts on tonight👇🤬 -Disgusting performance. We were lucky it wasn't 4 or 5-0. -Slot spent all season complaining about low blocks against us, then set up exactly like that tonight. -How is Slot still in the job? He's clearly out of his depth. Shame on Hughes and Edwards. -VAR was our best player. -One of the most embarrassing tactical setups I've ever seen from a Liverpool side in Europe. -Gravenberch cannot be our 6 next season under any circumstances. -Ekitike has been a massive disappointment in big games. Offers nothing. -€35m for Frimpong is insane — he's nowhere near good enough to start for Liverpool. -There's a serious player in this team, but we'll never see it with Slot in charge. -He humiliated Salah: needing a goal, Slot brings on Jones, Gakpo, Isak and even Nyoni ahead of him.

@Corballyred You forgot Macca - the most overrated midfielder we’ve ever had. Slow, poor, ineffective, so slow, dribbled past like a traffic cone and like a sprawling beached turtle on the deck half the time due to his lack of speed

What do people who have a go at Ekitike actually want him to do? Some of the stuff he has to invent on the spot is a joke. We don’t create anything from team play

I've been quite lenient on Florian Wirtz this season as I am certain he will live up to his price tag in the near future. But so many of these games I am left thinking: what does he do? So ineffective and when you cost £100m, you want way, way more.
