@Blue_Mage @LGGPod @WeisMargaret Last read them a quarter century ago so I have no idea. I just remembered the laser sword aspect a few months ago for some reason, then it clicked while listening to the most recent podcast because Weis and Hickman know one or more of the podcast hosts.

@LGGPod surprised that in the latest episode you didn’t mention the laser swords in the ‘90s series by either Tracy Hickman or Margaret Weis. The wielder was injected by a needle to activate the blade; I think there was either a genetic or viral component the wielder needed.

We both bought Dragons of Deceit, we are going to do our first ever book review episode once we finish reading it. Just finished chapter one and I already want to get back to work on my own novel! I missed this world. @WeisMargaret ✊🏼

In college I wrote a dice rolling simulator in C to see how long it would take to do this. It ran for four straight days on our SunOS server and the most it ever got was 5.
