You don’t always fight with City for players. But, there are players worth fighting for.
Declan Rice was one of them. Arsenal paid big money and huge wage to get him.
Anderson is another such player in my opinion. You go to war for that kind of a player considering what we need right now. He is exactly the player we need. He can fix our part of our midfield for years to come.

What I will say, woodward made it a personal mission to keep signings away from city as much as possible and made a point to beat them. He would never accept players going to the blue side of town easily. I just don’t see Wilcox, berrada and the rest of the former city boys having that type of mentality when it comes to competing with city on players. At least arteta has been clear to fight for the players he wanted vs pep with the signing of rice. He’s wanted to show he is able to compete with and beat pep. Maybe one day he will beat him where it matters, maybe this season even.

One of my buddies a decade ago dated a rave girl. She would go off to festivals all the time with her girls(and one guy friend). My buddy obviously couldn't go because he had a job but he was never concerned.
I asked him if she could be doing something nefarious. He said "she would never do that." I simply asked because she would talk about how she looked forward to all the drugs and alcohol. Drugs and drinks never lead to good decisions.
Well long story short. She cheated on him with dozens of guys over a year and broke up with him for the guy friend who she went to the raves with.
