I'm embarrassed to say that I told my boyfriend this about 10 minutes ago actually. Of course I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy or myself (probably one and the same), but I wouldn't mind the weight loss.

That actually was my very first dream and one of the reasons I went to law school! You're spot-on! My boyfriend at the time had some issues with his school and it inspired me. I see it in my own school every day, so many students don't get what they need and their parents don't understand their rights - I would LOVE to be able to help in those situations. 🥰

@LK33JD Don't know enough to know if it is possible, but could you use it in some way to help with special education, to help those ensure those who need aid get the aid they need?

This is one that's making me think really hard. I know I need to do more with my life, because I want to make a difference on a greater level. I'm just not sure what to do and how. That law degree sitting there unused feels so powerful, but I'd like to use it in education somehow.

@keywest1971 I feel like it's one of those things I'll always ask "what if?" if I don't go for it. I probably already forgot too much without a LOT of bar review, but I'd have to do it anyway so I guess no reason not to try eventually. 😂

@LK33JD I practiced for 10 years. It was a love/hate relationship with law. That was over 20 years ago. I’m 54 now.

@keywest1971 Some of the stories I hear make me want to avoid it, but other times I kinda just want to go for it and see what it's like. If I can actually help people it'd be cool, but then again the transactional side of things and being antisocial sounds great too. 😂

At my last school, my work best friend was our guidance counselor. She was there for me as much as she was our students - and she was one of the most loved members of our faculty. She would be there for any student, any time - and there were many days she came down to my room to just hang out when my students needed her. The truth was, I needed that support too! I woke up to find on fbook this morning that she passed away, and I have literally no words. It's just a lot of shock right now, and I am devastated.
