@AllisonPearson Cost of opening new fields about $70 a barrel fast tracking will be between 2 and 3 years . Then you have to consider the type of oil we get out of the North Sea . In 3 years how many more EV cars will be on the road, decreasing the demand for oil, how many more heat pumps

Ed Miliband says drilling our own gas in the North Sea (as opposed to paying Norway billions for theirs) makes no difference. He’s lying 👇 North Sea gas ‘saves Britain billions a year’ telegraph.co.uk/business/2026/…

@GRTXYZQ @danishnuclear Funny enough, the average nuclear plant lifespan is the same as that of a wind mill. x.com/Lyve66074783/s…
Lyve👑@Lyve66074783

@danishnuclear @thejbullmarket The 212 shut down reactors since 1973 had an average lifetime of 28 years. Windturbines stay operable for at least 30 years with maintenance. Fundaments can get reused after. Bulding takes months to a year. Nuclear plants take multiple decades for dismantling and building.

I think the US should take over the Strait of Hormuz and charge every European vessel a steep “defense fee” to transit. If they don’t pay, they don’t get to use it. Why should Europeans benefit from American protection for free when they refuse to lift a finger to pacify Iran?

An Inconvenient Truth for Mr Miliband Three quarters of Britain's energy comes from oil and gas. That's not going to change much any time soon no matter what the ecofantasists dream about So we are surely better off using our own home-grown supplies than relying on imports And using accounting tricks to pretend that we're Saving the World by buying from abroad fools no-one Drill, baby drill! Frack baby, frack! Dig baby, dig!

🚨 BREAKING: Despite President Trump’s threats, the Iranian regime has REJECTED all US demands, and is refusing to show up to meet with US officials in Islamabad for peace talks, per WSJ and Bloomberg That’s a mistake. President Trump isn’t going to be happy.

@nicksortor Iran just turned down the only exit ramp they were going to get. Trump warned them. Bridges next, then power plants. They think this is a win? They're about to find out what "haven't even started" actually means.

@gussvenin @GPCody60 @DocAhmadMalik High petrol / diesel prices will push people towards EV cars economically . Cost of driving Diesel car currentjy 20p a mile. Cost of driving EV car 2p a mile I drive 15,000 miles a year. Which should I drive economically ? There is no argument in choice

@gussvenin @GPCody60 @DocAhmadMalik Okay, currently Thats a good deal because price of oil . Let’s assume that in next few years the world keeps moving towards renewable / EV / storage . Oil price drops to $60 ( where it was ) Are you still willing to pay $77 a barrel cost , while everyone else pays $60

@jbhearn So the answer is 1) do you care what you are using as a payment in condition its stable 2) if you buy a lot from Europe you have additional cost of transferring £ to € . So if you don’t really care as long as the currency is stable and you buy a lot from Europe . You want €

When you hear from someone it is a good idea that we, the UK, rejoin the EU then ask them if they are happy to replace our sterling currency with the Euro as we will be legally obligated to adopt the Euro as U.K. money.

@jackprandelli China comes to an agreement with Iran that allows oil to China to flow unimpeded by Iran. Meanwhile the rest of the oil flowing does get impeded and keeps the price of oil high for west which damages the rest of the world economy

Trump's number is wrong. The strategy behind it is genius. China doesn't get 90% of its oil from Hormuz. The real number is closer to 50-55%. For reference maybe he was thinking about Iran that's selling 90% of it's oil to China. But here's why the exaggeration doesn't matter. The strategic move is real Think about what Trump is actually doing If China has to guard Hormuz: → Chinese naval assets move to the Middle East → The Taiwan Strait gets less covered → Beijing has to choose between its oil supply and its Taiwan ambitions → China either lets Iran lose a key protector or gets pulled into the conflict It's a forced choice. Guard your oil or guard your future. You can't do both. Trump isn't giving Hormuz to China. He's handing Beijing a problem that drains its military focus, its diplomatic capital and its budget. And the 90% number? Doesn't need to be accurate. It just needs to make China feel responsible. Have a look at my latest article, where i explain the deeper strategy behind all of this🔗 Link 👇 themerchantsnews.substack.com/p/what-is-the-…

@BasedMikeLee Personally I think the US leaving NATO is dangerous for world peace, however I think for NATO it may actually be a good thing, because it would mean the other NATO countries working closer to together, not reliant on a US

@BasedMikeLee So leaving NATO , would weaken NATO in short term . It would isolate the US, spending into the US military from NATO and individual countries would drop to zero. The US would lose access to R&D. And allies would need the US to withdraw from all the US bases
