British Airways flight #BA2157 made a U-turn over the Atlantic and returned to origin. Flight time London - London 7 hours and 50 minutes. The reason is currently unknown.

Nearly 10 hours on an Azuma? Looks like one of LNER's longest ever services (excluding delays) with the diversion via Carlisle extending the journey time on this particular service by 2 hours. Still good that LNER are running this service though even with the longer journey times

@arrivanorthwest Currently a fire at strand shopping centre the bus had to let passengers off at the Stanley Road stop (the one after the bus station)

Due to ongoing works at Bootle Strand, All Netherton, Crosby and Southport Services are unable to service the stops on Stanley Rd. Passengers should use the stops before Merton Rd or after Marsh Lane to board. Please watch for more updates as this is likely to change
