🚨 Women’s Basketball Only 🚨 When entering the “Transfer Portal”, please don’t DM me complaining about your college coach. Not every coach is “bad.” Right now, players averaging 18 PPG hit the portal… and so do players averaging 0.8 PPG. Focus on fit, not frustration.

Where are all the college coaches that recruit underdogs. There are a lot of kids that I deal with that have a lot of potential that are not on any circuit or on the top teams, but have game. Step outside your comfort zone, you might find the diamond in the rough.

At what point does loyalty become a liability?

I’ve watched the tears, the grind, the growth… so when I say she’s built for this—I mean it. Ten toes behind you ALWAYS. God’s plan doesn’t come with explanations—just elevation. And I see exactly what He’s doing. Time to level up!!!! @HeardTyla

Same goes for me as a coach, when things are panning out as quickly as possible I cant quit on the relationship. I still have to try to make this kid better on/off the court.

Relationships still matter BUT healthy relationships take TWO people. Its getting harder to have DEEP relationships with players because they know they COULD leave in a year. They sometimes keep their distance to avoid any emotional attachment. Navigating this can be difficult.

There were 2 shades of Gray today in the Desert! Good, Gooder, Goodest! Micah Gray...The Line! 23 PTS 9-16 FGs 5-10 3 PT Gray has scored 48 points in her last 2 games and is averaging 17 over her last 6. Take out the 7-point outing against Colorado, and she's averaging 19 per in the other 6 games in that stretch. She is putting the ball IN the bucket! #gopokes #okstate

Stailee Heard has had several nights in her career where she's scored a LOT more points, but tonight was one of her better overall games, IMO. She absolutely let the game come to her, didn't force the issue, made the "1 more" to set her teammates up on several occasions, she took care of the ball, she rebounded, and she defended. She took just 8 shots, but made 4 of them en route to a 12-point evening to combine with 7 assists and 7 rebounds. Nearly her 2nd triple-double. The way she played is what I would call "winning basketball". She made "winning basketball plays", and led her team to a BIG win. #gopokes #okstate
