An exciting day for Greece! It was my honor to participate in the ribbon cutting for a brand new McDonald’s at The Mall in Athens, the most technologically advanced McDonald’s in all of Europe! American businesses investing here create jobs and bring American culture – and delicious food – to the Greek people.

Now if only he could go back in time and stay out of the governors office.

I’m not an ideologue. I’m a problem solver. California has spent sixteen years trapped in partisan politics and failed leadership while life got harder and more expensive for normal people. It’s time for common sense again.

After sixteen years of one-party rule, less than half of California kids can read at grade level. In math, it’s even worse. The people who created this crisis keep acting like they just arrived and had nothing to do with it. We need to get back to basics: Teach phonics. Make sure every child can read by third grade. Hold schools accountable for results. California’s kids deserve better than this failure.
