We still do not know what causes autism. We do know that the MMR vaccine does not cause autism. We need more research on the cause of autism. We don't need more research on MMR as a cause of autism (it's been done and its not).

@draevans The spectrum isn’t linear so how can a person be “on” it. A person can have traits of the spectrum. Or certain spectrum traits.

Some autistic people find certain phrases unacceptable. “On the spectrum” is one of them. What is appropriate & not offensive? I ask because for years no one has come up with words to satisfy everyone. Instead the messenger gets slatted instead of a journal paper.

@spooooookyszn I returned to school as a 46 year old single mom to get a degree. I’m now doing my masters. All through AU. It’s not selfish, there are no rules about when you get to do things.

so then I was like, should I do online bachelors degree (the masters I want to take is already online so it’s no worries) Or should I suck it up for the next 4 years and just go to class. I am feeling really stuck on this and it’s making me really sad.
