Today, we kick off a 3⃣-day training on Strengthening Adoption of @Epiverse_TRACE Tools in Africa @WHOAFRO in 🇸🇳. Organised with @DataDotOrg & funded by @NVFund, the workshop promotes data driven decision making & boosts regional collaborations for better #EpidemicPreparedness.

Dr. Andrew Abaasa, Head of Data and Statistics at the Unit, encouraged students and researchers to access the wealth of data accumulated for over three decades of research. In his presentation, he guided participants through the process of accessing these datasets and highlighted the benefits of using existing data instead of collecting primary data. He emphasized that both data and biospecimens from completed and ongoing studies are readily available, provided the proper procedures are followed.
