Because Lewis had to avoid contact, otherwise there would have been a crash which would have been Max’s fault. So penalise Max now for the action now rather than letting him get to a point where there is a crash. Max is so shit, he can’t overtake properly. He’s not the championship driver you think he is. Remember, he had to have the FIA steal the championship from Lewis and give it to Max because Max wasn’t good enough to win legitimately.

This is a myth as old as time itself. All teams agreed to the regulations, so where the article says why would Mercedes agree to something without giving them dominance, well, the other teams did.
