Finally bit the bullet on a tool changer printer. I was seriously leaning toward the @snapmaker U1, but after careful consideration I decided to convert my @BambulabGlobal H2D into an H2C using the Vortek system. The U1 has a lot going for it, but in my opinion the H2C offers a more flexible setup. It supports at least 7 colors, plus you get the reliability Bambu is known for. A big personal win is staying fully inside the Bambu ecosystem, since all my other FDM printers are already Bambu machines. Even though the upgrade kit costs almost as much as a U1, I can pick it up with a solid discount using my MakerWorld points, which makes the choice even easier.

I’m 30 minutes into a SECOND power outage during a 47 hour 8 color print on the H2C. At 58% done the first one hit and the print was able to recover. 2 hours later here I am waiting and hoping ( last pic). Wish me luck 🤨
