This week, 🇱🇺 approved its first ever national action plan for a sustainable food system 2026-2030! The NAP outlines the vision towards a more resilient, modern and sustainable food system, anchored in the food value chain and strengthening food sovereignty.

Minister of Defence @Yuriko_Backes visited the NATO Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Force #NISRF and met with force commander Brigadier General John B. Creel. Luxembourg Defence is providing satellite communications for the RQ-4D Phoenix and the Allied ISR Forces.

At the Sigonella Air Base in Sicily, Minister @Yuriko_Backes visited the aerial assets for maritime surveillance that Luxembourg Defence is contributing to @EUNAVFOR_MED IRINI. An essential contribution for the EU Operation to fulfil its tasks.

In Rome, at the @EUNAVFOR_MED IRINI Mission Headquarters, Minister @Yuriko_Backes met with Operation Commander Rear Admiral Casapieri. Since 2020, IRINI implements the @UN arms embargo on Libya & enhances EU maritime situational awareness in the Mediterranean.
