The thin-skinned performative anger is why people detest the LIV whiners so much. Joel's piece was incredibly fair, a recap of events followed by a measured opinion, which is *his job.* The screenshots below are as tough as he got. Believe me, it could be worse. Calling Joel a "prick" for this is about as petty as it gets. They're so mired in their own grievance-y propaganda that they can't handle someone with a different opinion. Grotesque way to behave imo.

I get that the most talented players want a set up that lets them run away from the field, but all majors are different tests. I like that this one is testing everyone's patience and making you really earn those birdies.

For me, the eye test reigns supreme in assessing a championship venue. You'll have a hard time convincing me to dislike a course/setup that seems to be producing interesting, challenging, unusual shots just because the numbers say it's not rewarding the right players.
There are plenty of venues out there that consistently generate the expected results. The beauty of golf is that not every playing field is optimized to satisfy the same criteria.

I think this has been an enjoyable major to watch the last two days. A nice change of pace.

The resolution of this image is pretty bad, but it's clear that the Trump administration has scaled back its ambitions for East Potomac renovation. Fazio's plan appears to preserve the road, the bike path, and the recreational area at Hains Point — all of which were on the chopping block in early discussions, multiple sources told me.
I do have some other thoughts on what we're seeing here. Currently typing them up for a website post.
