I am absolutely devastated Men who claim to be women have more rights than actual women in Australia. It is women who are being discriminated against, not the men who claim to be us. But in a sense, nothing has changed: we will all wake up tomorrow & men will still not be women.

A Muslim woman with PTSD relating to male sexual violence was told by NHS England that she must share toilet and shower facilities with trans women [biological males]. She took them to an employment tribunal and won. It’s a significant case. Link to the full judgment below.🧵

Fantastic Lesbians stand in support of Sall Grover following her loss in the Australian courts. This case has highlighted a growing conflict between women’s sex-based rights and laws that increasingly prioritise gender identity over biological reality. Lesbians and women deserve the right to create and maintain spaces, communities, services, and platforms centred on female people and same-sex attraction. Throughout history, women have relied on female-only spaces for safety, privacy, dignity, political organising, and mutual support. Lesbians, in particular, have fought hard for the right to define themselves on the basis of sex rather than gender identity or male expectations. Many Australians are deeply concerned that the current interpretation of the Sex Discrimination Act undermines these protections and limits the ability of women to set reasonable sex-based boundaries. Laws intended to prevent discrimination should not be used to erase the legal meaning of sex or compel women and lesbians to accept the presence of males in spaces created specifically for females. The outcome of this case demonstrates the urgent need for legislative reform. The Sex Discrimination Act should be repealed and replaced with laws that clearly protect the rights of women and girls on the basis of biological sex, while preserving freedom of association, freedom of speech, and the right of lesbians to organise around same-sex attraction. Supporting women’s sex-based rights is not hatred, nor is it discrimination. It is a recognition that women, as a distinct class, continue to face unique forms of violence, disadvantage, and oppression. A democratic society must be able to uphold both individual dignity and the rights of women to maintain boundaries around female-only spaces. This debate is not going away. Australians deserve open discussion, legal clarity, and the freedom to defend women’s rights without fear of punishment or public vilification.

Giggle Pty Ltd has lost their appeal, and been ordered to pay increased damages of $20,000 to trans-activist Roxanne Tickle. A sad day for upholding biological reality in Australia.
