I’ve been asking myself why has it taken me so long to write this? Ultimately I still carry a huge amount of cognitive dissonance here. In my mind LayerZero the protocol was like Gnosis Safe and the application was setting their config, and who the )@(!$ would secure billions in TVL on a 1/1? I even tweeted about it, literally 0, I would have bet almost anything on that because almost every major application we helped setup their configs. Someone then going and manually changing that to a 1/1 was outside of the realm of possibility for me. I was wrong. It’s easy to sit back and say ‘it’s just a protocol we have no control over how people use it’ but we have the opportunity to be better. There was a conversation this week speaking to a customer and they just… screamed at me, at the top of their lungs, and swore for a solid ~3-5 minutes straight. We had implemented additional security measures of forcing a more stringent RPC quorum and forcing every chain to provide multiple RPCs and we had done it without telling them and it !)@$d with their business, which frankly is a deadly sin. We had messed with their business and they said communication wise we were completely blowing this. They were completely right. This is something I care about a ton, it is both the result of a huge portion of my life and something that I fundamentally believe in. I literally gifted a copy of Unreasonable Hospitality to every single manager in the company. The entire point of what we’ve built is to enable others to build on top of it, it is to provide a protocol and a platform for people to build on, and we’ve been failing some of our largest customers. The past two weeks have been unbelievably miserable. I’m incredibly grateful for all of the applications who have worked with us over the past 2 weeks, for @zeroshadow_io who has spent endless cycles with us tracking and seizing millions in attacker funds which will be returned to the rsETH team, and for all of the parties who brought together DefiUnited. Particularly @aave for leading and @MikeSilagadze for pushing everyone to get their !@)($ together and sort things out as quickly as possible, and putting himself in the frontline of acquisition talks and everything else to try to get to a solution quickly. @LayerZero_Core is one of the most critical pieces of infrastructure in the industry, the LayerZero protocol has earned the trust of the largest and most important asset issuers in the space. We will do better and we will make the industry better for it. My entire focus over the past 2 weeks has singularly been working with applications to harden their setup, building tooling to assist in tracking and freezing hacker funds, and the rsETH recovery efforts. That is going to shift now to where LayerZero Labs spends it's time and effort. The only thing this company will spend time on is how we can better serve our asset issuers and the upcoming launch of Zero.

Today, I filed a lawsuit in California federal court against World Liberty Financial to protect my legal rights as a holder of $WLFI tokens.   I have always been—and remain—an ardent supporter of President Trump and his Administration’s efforts to make America crypto friendly.  This lawsuit does not change how I feel about President Trump or the Trump Administration.   Unfortunately, certain individuals on the World Liberty project team have been operating the project in a manner that goes against President Trump’s values.  They wrongfully froze all of my tokens, stripped me of my right to vote on governance proposals, and have threatened to permanently destroy my tokens by “burning” them—all without any proper justification.  I do not believe President Trump would condone these actions if he knew about them.     I have tried in good faith to resolve this situation with the World Liberty project team without resorting to litigation.  But the project team has refused my requests to unfreeze my tokens and restore my rights as a token holder.  They have left me with no choice but to turn to the courts.  All I want is to be treated the same as every other early investor who received tokens—no better, no worse.    I also want the community to know that I strongly oppose the new governance proposal World Liberty published on April 15.   If it passes, token holders who do not “affirmatively accept” its terms—including a requirement that 10% of all advisor tokens be permanently burned—will have their tokens locked indefinitely.  For early purchaser tokens, the proposal imposes a two-year cliff followed by a two-year vesting schedule—and again, for those who do not affirmatively accept, their tokens are locked indefinitely.   This proposal is bad for the community, but because World Liberty has frozen my early investor tokens, I cannot vote them for or against the proposal.   I believe in fairness, transparency, and the principles that make crypto powerful.  I will continue to fight for those principles. 🙏

What’s happening right now on our side - Working with industry recovery group - Working with external security groups - Working with all relevant external law enforcement agencies - DVN is live, Stargate just went through additional hardening pass - Spending 100% of cycles hardening security across every possible vector for applications. We will be able to say a lot more on here but right now security is the #1 priority across the board - Expect more updates on all fronts, will start streaming more steady state of information now that initial investigations are largely resolved

How to go from being a #1 fan to a #1 hater of LayerZero. I didn't want to go public, but this is the best I can do. I need to show my followers what's going on. As you know, I am one of @LayerZero_Core's best and top contributors. The beginning! It started with the LayerZero community program on Discord around two years ago. We had to contribute and claim roles, with each role offering a one-time $ZRO reward. Intern: 50 $ZRO Hero: 200 $ZRO OG: 1,000 $ZRO Legend: 10,000 $ZRO Finally, there is the "God" role, which will be awarded to one person and will come with 100,000 $ZRO tokens. These rewards that convinced me to join the community program, as it was a smart way to contribute, learn, test, share information about LayerZero with my followers and ofc earn some money. THE FIRST RED FLAG appeared at the end of 2025, when the LayerZero team, with @domdotx as CM, announced that the "season 1" would end by the end of the year, with the final distribution taking place after New Year. Please note that before this announcement, there hadn't been any seasons; it was just a long-term community program with a $5m $ZRO reward pool. The team changed the rules at the last moment, but said not to worry because those who were active and contributed would receive their deserved rewards in the final distribution before Season 2. So I was calm because I knew they would do everything properly, even though @domdotx had been inactive with the community for the last 6 - 9 months and they hadn't tracked who was active and who wasn't. When the time came for the distribution, a SECOND RED FLAG appeared... By that time, I had been an OG for 6- 9 months, as had several of my friends, so of course we were expecting them to give us LEGEND roles and 10,000 $ZRO tokens. They said that in Season 2, roles would change, and that legacy roles would be a proof of what you did earlier, but the rewards would be closer to those numbers. When the time came for the final distribution, they rewarded me and the other active OGs with just 500 $ZRO. Imagine that! After working for them for two years, I received a total of 50 + 200 + 1000 + 500 $ZRO, which equals 1750 $ZRO. Now it's worth approximately 4048 USD. For two years Carl, while the team members earning at least 4 - 5k monthly... To say that I was upset or surprised would be an understatement. I felt used for two years and should have received 11,250 $ZRO, but I only received 1,750 $ZRO. In dollars, I should have received 26,000 USD, but I received 4,048 USD. After that, we joined the community and started chatting and discussing with team members, @domdotx and @blue_clarity. After a week of discussions, they said they would talk to the finance team, so everyone was happy. Guess what? We weren't happy because they only added 1,250 $ZRO. I know the numbers inside out, so let's do the maths. The 5 - 6 active OGs who should receive the LEGEND role should have received 10,000 $ZRO for the final distribution, but we only received 1,250 + 500 $ZRO. After that, I was just hoping that Season 2 would be better because they told us it would be and that we would be able to receive a good amount of $ZROs. Do you know what they did? Yeah, they're talking about THE THIRD RED FLAG. They just added the Whop campaign in Season 2 and started attracting bots, clippers and other shillers who don't care about the product, they only care about how much they can extract from the project. So, starting in January, we had @Whop. Can you guess how much the active user, aka me, earned with @Whop? Only 134 USD, guys! Now, regarding THE FOURTH RED FLAG. After @PrimordialAA said there wouldn't be any airdrops, I started noticing that some profiles on X had started writing about LayerZero and $ZRO. I'm 100% sure these people were paid. They chose to pay random shillers for posts, but they gave nothing to people who are loyal and have contributed for two years. This red flag encompasses both paid posts and cancelling future airdrops, which the team also promised earlier. I really appreciate what I have achieved with LayerZero, and I love all the team members, including @PrimordialAA , @ryanzarick , @domdotx , @blue_clarity , @SaschaPst (she is new and doesn't know the full story, but she's great), and the others. However, I also have to respect and love myself. I was never a fudder, but it seems like now it's time to hate LayerZero. I'm 100% sure they will succeed because they are doing something new and huge. However, treating their community badly is not cool. We were promised that each quarter, the members of the LayerZero headquarters, also known as LZ HQ, the highest community level of LayerZero, would receive quarterly $ZRO rewards. That's why I was still here; I was a true believer and holder of the token. But guess what? RED FLAG NUMBER 5 has appeared. So Q1 is finishing in 10 days and they've decided to announce that there are no $ZRO rewards. I don't know whether to laugh or cry now. At that point, I decided to write to Bryan and Raz to ask why things were going this way and why they were treating us like slaves. They ignored me, so I went public. I did a lot with my friends 2 people, will not cover names. We created more than 50 LayerZero spaces with builders and community members. I also created YouTube and TikTok channels with a total of more than 500,000 views and over 1,200 uploaded videos and shorts. I made about 240 posts about @LayerZero_Core. Sometimes, you just have to show proof of your work. And I received 4k $USD for all of this, LOL. Regarding the Whop campaign, the SIXTH RED FLAG was when I was botted and the system cut off my payment. I still haven't received my $108, and I doubt anyone will send it to me because no one will take responsibility. However, I completed the job on my end. OPEN LETTER TO THE LZ TEAM! I DON'T NEED ANYTHING FROM YOU, NOT EVEN ANY TOKENS. KEEP THAT 50K $ZRO TO YOURSELVES BECAUSE YOU ARE ALL SO GREEDY. THERE WERE ONLY 5 MEMBERS WHO SHOULD HAVE BEEN LEGENDARY, AND DESERVED LEGEND ROLE AND THAT 10K $ZRO REWARD BUT YOU PREFERRED TO SCAM US AND CHANGE THE RULES ALL THE TIME. YOU PREFERRED TO PAY OTHER RANDOM PROFILES TO SHILL THE PROJECT! IT'S EVEN ILLEGAL TO CHANGE THE RULES ALL THE TIME BE CAREFUL, I CAN ALSO SUE YOU. BUT I"M NOT THAT PERSON. What am I doing now? I'm selling all my $ZRO tokens, even at these prices! I'm thinking of quitting this industry thanks to the LayerZero Tier 1 project because they only think about themselves. It's time to take off the rose-tinted glasses. No one on the team will support you. They only think about how to earn more money and don't give even 0.0001% to their loyal 30 LZ HQ members. Even after this post, if you decide to give us the promised rewards, I will decline, because after everything that has happened, there is no need to accept that. It's not in line with my karma. In the week since we announced Zero, there has been a lot of speculation about ZRO’s role in Zero and on ZRO’s tokenomics. Let’s clear that up. There will be no new token for Zero. ZRO is the only asset. • ZRO will be the staking asset within Zero • ZRO will be the gas asset within Zero • All excess fees generated through priority fee (state contention) will flow through to ZRO • All excess fees generated through tips/MEV will flow through to ZRO • All trading fees from the markets zone will flow through to ZRO • All payment fees from the payment zone will flow through to ZRO • Once the fee switch is turned on within LayerZero every LZ Message will have a fee that goes to ZRO. ZRO is the only asset and all economic value generated by Zero, LayerZero, and Stargate goes directly to ZRO. Additionally, total institutional purchases, buyouts of early investors, and LayerZero buybacks now total to 19.77% of the total token supply with the majority of this being the buyout of upcoming unlocks and early investors. Most public dashboards don’t account for this, and overstate the pressure from upcoming unlocks by almost 2x.
