Colonialism = CORRUPTION
Apartheid = CORRUPTION
These were not benevolent regimes,they weren’t even corrupt regimes, they were the ACTUAL corruption itself. Apartheid and colonialism are the root, the tree and the face of corruption - the full, living expression of moral decay.

We should reject this position outright when it comes to the gross corruption we are seeing in SA. Blaming colonialism and Apartheid for corruption gives these thieves the cover to continue looting from honest, hardworking South Africans; today.

@HighHeelEsquire As someone who had this kinda mom, people found it hard to hangout with me. If she didn’t insist on being there, she’d call nonstop, not just me but everyone. It stresses everyone out, makes it harder to have fun. Some kids don’t want to be around that. It isolated me a LOTT.

@Burnerburnerac5 My mom kept hers till last year after my little brother got his ID and passport. Mind you she’s been divorced for 15 years but she kept the surname to make things easier for us despite the trauma attached to it.

Rachel Kolisi was asked why she hasn't dropped the surname Kolisi and she said it's because her kids are Kolisi. She said she keeps it cause she gets stopped a lot and she's keeping Kolisi cause it's a safeguard for her kids who are black. Girl said apartheid dompas laws Chile

@ThabisoGoba2 Yep my mom had it for a good 6 years before she got a car. My understanding is that it’s very limited. Back then in my town they offered it to about 20-50 people. So I think that’s why it’s not as well known.

I’ve been in Johannesburg for about 3-years and I’m only learning now there is something called a VIP Taxi card.
The card allows you to skip ahead of the queue at the ranks and costs about R100/annum.
It’s like priority boarding but for taxis.
