@thetect0nic Xi is saying very little publically while trump is blabbing, bragging, and trying to sell and convince the world that this was a massive win, that only he, President Donald J. Trump could achieve. He's oblivious to the fact that he's such an embarrassment.

🇺🇲 🇨🇳 President Donald Trump ended his two-day summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping on an optimistic note, claiming the visit delivered “fantastic” trade outcomes and progress toward gaining Chinese support for reopening the Strait of Hormuz. Speaking alongside Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing, Trump said Washington and Beijing had reached favorable trade arrangements and had advanced discussions over the Strait of Hormuz, a critical route for global energy and maritime commerce. “This has been an incredible visit,” Trump said. “I think a lot of good has come of it.” Trump also said he and Xi had resolved “a lot of different problems” and described the relationship between the two countries as “very strong.” Further talks are expected when Xi travels to the United States in September. One of the central issues discussed during the summit was the Strait of Hormuz. China, an ally of Iran and one of the largest buyers of Iranian oil, released a statement through its Ministry of Foreign Affairs urging the reopening of the Strait and calling for a diplomatic end to the war launched by the U.S. and Israel on February 28. The Chinese statement said: “It is important to reopen the shipping lanes as soon as possible to respond to the call of the international community and jointly keep the global supply chains stable and unimpeded". Trump told reporters that he and Xi “feel very similar” on Iran. In an interview with Fox News after Thursday’s meeting, Trump said Xi “would like to see a deal made” between the U.S. and Iran and had offered to help. China’s official foreign ministry statement, however, did not refer to any such offer. The summit sends three main signals: 1️⃣ Trump is trying to present the trip as a diplomatic victory, especially on trade and crisis management. 2️⃣ China is framing itself as a stabilizing force for global supply chains, especially around the Strait of Hormuz. 3️⃣ Iran is becoming an area of limited U.S.-China coordination, even as Beijing keeps its public language careful and avoids fully confirming Trump’s version of the talks. “We’ve settled a lot of different problems that other people wouldn’t have been able to settle and the relationship is a very strong one.”- Donald Trump
