@BlondeBigot11 @MVdlJCardinal Let’s not talk about coming to a country and behaving poorly, Indians have a whole 200 years History to use as a counter argument. Rest I believe it’s below my level to respond to your Racist argument. Have a wonderful nice long weekend.

@JayGenXer Since most people don't actually watch the video, it would be nice to clarify that Jamil Jivani, the speaker, is opposed to expansion of MAiD. The Quebec doctor suggesting it is Dr. Louis Roy back in 2022.

🚨 BREAKING: Canada’s MAiD euthanasia machine just hit rock bottom. A Quebec physician has formally suggested assisted suicide for infants — babies from birth to one year old with severe deformities and syndromes. Parents “should have the opportunity” to have their newborn killed. Federal committees are now pushing to expand MAiD to “mature minors” (children), where a doctor — not the parents — decides if the kid can “consent” to their own death. Ontario’s Chief Coroner confirms hundreds of MAiD deaths are driven by poverty, loneliness, and lack of housing — not terminal illness. People are being offered lethal injection because they feel like a burden. This isn’t healthcare.
This is a moral horror show. Years of Liberal-NDP rule have turned Canada into one of the most dangerous places on Earth for the vulnerable — from newborns to the poor. Danielle Smith is fighting this insanity in Alberta. The rest of the country needs to wake the hell up before it gets even worse. @AlexJifan @JayGenXer And what are you going to do when a doctor walks in the nursery with two police officers and tell you they're taking your autistic boy to be euthanized?

@JayGenXer This is a good thing, though. Those infants will never grow up to be productive or useful members of society - they just don't have the capacity. Their removal will improve education, social services, health care, law enforcement, everything.

@01CuriousGeorge When Tims changed their hiring practices, I had to walk out a few times because the food wasn't ready first thing. The display is supposed to be full, and these employees were like "It's early, just buy a coffee."

A Canadian woman from the Toronto area is going viral on TikTok for calling out perpetual TFW abuser Tim Horton's for their terrible food quality at MULTIPLE locations, the poor service from the employees they continue to hire and she vows to never freqent another Tim's restaurant again. When her post got a lot of traction online, @TimHortons slid into the comment section to try to do damage control (while our young Canadians face a massive unemployment crisis). /1

@QuetzalPhoenix Every modern trend from slam and rap, to spoken word and confessional free verse, has only dumbed down the art form and this has been done hand in hand with reduced standards in education. Even telling students that Shakespeare is difficult is an horrific cultural disservice.

We're told that we shouldn't object to Helen of Troy being portrayed as a black woman. And yet if a major Hollywood studio made a film set in Africa and cast a white woman as "the most beautiful woman in Africa," those same people would literally riot in the street. If, say, Sydney Sweeney was cast in the role, they'd be driven to murderous violence. We all know this is the case.

I don't think he should be "restored to competency" he should be executed if someone is incompetent enough to not understand "killing someone bad" or in this case "killing a woman because of the color of her skin is wrong" they do not belong here
Fox News@FoxNews

Federal prosecutors says the murder case against the man accused of killing Iryna Zarutska will not be dismissed regardless of a competency ruling. A Bureau of Prisons evaluation concluded Decarlos Dejuan Brown Jr. is not competent to stand trial at this time. Federal officials said the evaluation also found Brown could likely be restored to competency with treatment.

@KeithWoodsYT The Greeks called the place they lived in Europe. Everything east of Aegean Sea was Asia associated with the hated stereotypical eastern traits of effeminacy and weakness. Their fellow Europeans were brutish and stupid but shared the great Greek virtues of courage and honour.

Trying to separate ancient Greek from European civilisation like this is laughable. Homeric culture was a creation of Indo-European steppe peoples who fused with ancient Aegean populations to create Mycenaean and later Greek civilization. The Homeric epics are profiles in Indo European warrior culture: chariot-riding warriors seeking eternal glory, horse sacrifices and cremation rites, competitive gift-giving and feasting – these all have parallels in Celtic and Germanic cultures. One of the closest parallels is the Irish Táin Bó Cúailnge. The Táin also centres on tragic warrior heroes and rivalries between aristocratic warbands, and depicts horse rituals, chariot combat, and a war sparked by a cattle raid (cattle raiding is mentioned multiple times in the Iliad and the Odyssey.)

@KeithWoodsYT Are you seriously saying that a couple of myths having very surface level traits in common means the cultures were the same? Things like 'seeking glory' and 'using tools both cultures happened to possess' aren't exactly deeply unique signatures that only appear in a few cultures.

I’ve never rooted for a movie to bomb harder than this disgrace. It’s not just a badly casted film. It’s an intentional subversion of one of the most foundational stories of our civilization. There is nothing worse than the act of destroying something beautiful.
Global Box Office@GlobalBoxOffice

THE ODYSSEY by Christopher Nolan has given him the worst received trailer of his career. The trailer, released yesterday, had an unexpected negative reception to the point that @NextBestPicture wrote: “Christopher Nolan And “The Odyssey” Deserve The Benefit Of The Doubt”.

@esrtweet It's not that deep. Women just developed a lot of entitlement to micromanage and judge everything men do because they stopped receiving push back. Remember "No hymen, no diamond"? Women don't want to talk about what gives men 'the ick'.

Autumn is right. Even women who love video games don't become obsessed with them the way men do. I know why, and I think it reveals a tremendously important difference between male-typical and female-typical psychology. Men. Want. Power. Men want to be able to *do* things. To shape the world. To impose their will on reality. To win. Video games are a fast, reliable superstimulus for that urge. With only a handful of exceptions, the good ones are designed to both excite the desire for agency and power, and to satisfy it. If yov doubt me, ask yourself why many men fixate harder on video games than they do on pornography. It's very telling that this is even *possible*. Women don't work that way. I could go off on a long tear about why, but the evolutionary-biology reasons are so obvious that I don't think I need to. If it's not obvious, ask an LLM "why do men seek power and agency the way women seek love and social validation". You'll get an earful. Of course this also explains the well-known phenomenon of women getting the ick when men play video games. It's not just that men doing this are chasing a goal women don't really understand or identify with. To them, a game-obsessed man is dropping out of the real-world contest, wasting the traits and energy that would otherwise make him attractive on a pursuit that is both literally and figuratively sterile. I don't have a fix for the problems this mismatch creates, nor am I judging either men or women about this - instincts are what instincts are and I don't waste any time arguing with the law of gravity either. But understanding what's going on increases the chances that we can make choices that aren't doomed to fail.
Autumn Christian@teachrobotslove

I love video games. I met my husband because he hired me to QA for a Sims game. I was a game designer for companies like Zynga and EA. I was a writer on State of Decay 2. And I still have never loved games like I've seen the way men love games. I was surrounded by men who would eagerly work on min-max spreadsheets during their lunch break. One designer had a cabinet full of games that he would replay over and over again to study the levels. They'd go home from making games to play more games. Honestly, it's a big reason I quit game design. I didn't have that obsessive, compulsive desire to play games in a way that superseded everything else in my life. Lots of women play videogames. I've never seen one consumed by them as their life falls apart around them.
